We’re proud to announce that three of our employees — Nina Schittli, Hazel Roberts, and Sue Greenspan — have completed training offered by the California Storm Water Quality Association (CASQA) to become Industrial General Permit (IGP) Trainers of Record (ToRs) and Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioners (QISPs).
The certifications are a significant achievement. Right now, fewer than 150 ToRs are certified in California. And because our employees have completed the IGP-ToR training, Blymyer Engineers’ Environmental Compliance Division can provide hands-on training to both clients and other candidates who wish to become QISPs.
“Now we can share our experience and guidance with a wide group of storm water professionals who work to help California industrial dischargers comply with the IGP,” says Nina Schittli.
Blymyer Engineers’ Environmental Compliance Division has been a leader in industrial storm water compliance since the 1990s, when the EPA began requiring industrial facilities to obtain National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. We’ve assisted hundreds of industrial clients coast-to-coast — including local and nationwide food and beverage manufacturers, freight transportation companies, and package delivery services — to develop and implement their NPDES compliance programs.
