Blymyer returns to RE+ after the event takes a three-year COVID hiatus

In September, Renewable Energy Plus (RE+) 2022. Featuring Solar Power International (SPI) and Energy Storage International (ESI) took place in Anaheim, marking the first time this leading clean-energy event in North America has convened since 2019. The pent-up interest from that time led to over 27,000 attendees and 800 exhibitors, marking the biggest RE+ to date. RE+ is the rebranding of SPI and ESI as part of the evolution of the event, with an expanded focus on clean energy solutions that support a healthy economy, new jobs, and a strong energy marketplace.

RE+ lived up to its name, bringing together the gamut of clean-energy sectors. Companies represented solar, energy storage, hydrogen, fuel cells, EV infrastructure, software & digital solutions, startups, and more. With five education theaters, a live microgrid demonstration, and the hundreds of exhibitors, there were more than ample opportunities for learning and networking. The event also featured a new Master Speaker Series, with opening video remarks from U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, and other speakers including Robert Andres, senior policy advisor, Senate Finance Committee; Henk Rogers, founder & CEO, Blue Planet Energy; Kate Henningsen, co-founder/chief operating officer, Arcadia; and Steve Powell, president and CEO, Southern California Edison.

Blymyer has been exhibiting at RE+ in its previous iterations for over a decade, and Mike Rantz and Greg Mazur did so again this year, showing their vast array of renewable services. “Not only did we get to connect in-person with friends and clients in the industry, some of whom we haven’t seen since before the pandemic, but we also got a first-hand look at the growth and new technology developing so quickly in the clean-energy sector,” says Blymyer President Mike Rantz.

“It was motivating to learn about the newest developments in renewable energy, and also to have an expanded audience for showcasing all the work Blymyer is doing in delivering solar, wind, energy storage, EV charging, substations and more,” says Director of Engineering Greg Mazur. “We had fantastic conversations both in our booth and at the various events.”

RE+ 2023 will be held September 11 – 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Venetian Expo.
